Irrigation Service Technician

Irrigation Service Technicians are responsible for the start-up, shut down and troubleshooting and repairing all types of irrigation systems. Irrigation Service Technicians follow a predetermined route in order to inspect, repair, and maintain irrigation systems for commercial clients.

Daily Responsibilities & Expectations

  • Utilizes job tracking software.
  • Follows predetermined route and schedule.
  • Able to safely operate a truck and trailer.
  • Thorough understanding of irrigation systems including traditional and 2-wire systems.
  • Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains commercial Irrigation systems.
  • Maintains knowledge of various irrigation equipment.
  • Keeps truck and supplies neat and organized.
  • Communicates with customers on-site.

Qualifications

  • One to two years’ experience in irrigation field
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (Required)
  • Health card, or ability to obtain one
  • Back flow certification, or ability to obtain one
  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
  • Low voltage certification, or ability to obtain one

Physical Requirements

  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Stoop, bend, lift, kneel, carry objects for short distances
  • Work in adverse weather including heat, cold, wind, and rain
  • Lift/ push 75lbs without difficulty
  • Twist body
  • Wheelbarrow up to 200 lbs. at a time
