Some cities are starting to enforce water restrictions with citations, here are some tips to help you save on water usage:

* Check the irrigation system for leaks
* Adjust Sprinkler Zones
* Don’t water everyday
* Extend days between watering
* Water during the right time of the day
* Water your lawn as needed
* Rely on rain water
* Recycle water whenever possible
* Install smart watering devices
* Design landscapes for water conservation
* Avoid mowing grass too short
* Leave grass clippings on your lawn
* Sweep sidewalks and driveways instead of using the hose

Those with new sod, grass seed, or plantings are an exception, but need to submit a permit to their city to be approved for additional watering.
